The late Dan Fogelberg was an American musician, songwriter, and composer who achieved great success in the 1970s and 1980s with his folk-rock style. He was also a devoted husband to three different women in his life.
Fogelberg fist married Maggie Slaymaker in 1982, but the marriage only lasted until 1985.
He then tied the knot with Anastasia Savage from 1991 to 1996.

Finally, from 2002 until his death in 2007, Fogelberg was married to musician Jean Marie Mayer. The two were married for five years before Fogelberg passed away due to prostate cancer at the age of 56.
Despite their relatively short marriage, Fogelberg and Mayer were deeply devoted to each other.
In fact, there’s a story behind one of Fogelberg’s most famous songs that pays tribute to their relationship – “Same Old Lang Syne”.
